NEW AD: 'Chris & Chad' Urges Ciscomani to Protect People on Medicaid, Not Billionaires
TUCSON — Advancing AZ today released a new ad featuring Chris, a mother who lives in the Sixth Congressional District, who wants Congressman Juan Ciscomani to look out for people like her son, Chad, who needs intense medical care and relies on Medicaid to afford coverage, instead of giving more tax breaks to billionaires.
Today’s ad release is the first in a seven figure paid media campaign to hold Congressman Ciscomani accountable for taking votes that have led to higher costs for Arizonans.
Because of the Republican Tax Law that Ciscomani voted for, over 300,000 Arizonans will lose health care coverage. Before voting for the law, Ciscomani warned it “threatens access to coverage” and “jeopardizes the stability of our hospitals and providers.”
‘My son Chad has MS.
His speech is affected. He's on disability, he can't work.
And treatments are obviously very expensive.
It's impossible for someone in that situation to pay for the medical care that they need.
My congressman, Juan Ciscomani, voted to cut Medicaid.
But did vote to give millionaires a tax break.
Congressman Ciscoman, do the right thing!
Protect people on Medicaid, not billionaires.’
In addition to voting to cut Medicaid coverage that Arizonans like Chad depend on, Ciscomani also voted against health care tax credits that would help Arizonans afford private insurance coverage through the ACA Marketplace.
