Despite Voting In Support of Tariffs Yesterday, Schweikert & Ciscomani Should Vote ‘No’ On Canada Tariff Bill
TUCSON — Congressmen David Schweikert and Juan Ciscomani once again voted in support of the ongoing tariff war yesterday, but they have a chance to help lower costs for their constituents and vote ‘no’ later today on a bill to increase tariffs on Canada.
According to ABC News, “President Donald Trump's tariffs cost the average American household $1,000 last year” and “[t]he cost is set to go even higher this year to $1,300 per household.”
“Congressmen Schweikert and Ciscomani have had ample opportunities to lower costs for Arizonans and yet they continue to fail to do just that. Despite voting in favor, once again of the ongoing tariff war yesterday, Schweikert and Ciscomani should right their wrongs, and vote against tariffs on Canada today,” said Andrea Moreno, Executive Director of Honest Arizona.
