Arizonans Protest Schweikert's Year of Siding With Billionaires Over Constituents

PHOENIX — Arizonans rallied outside of Congressman David Schwiekert's office Monday, for the 52nd week in a row, to hold him accountable for his votes in support of cost-raising tariffs and the Republican Tax Law that gave a massive tax giveaway to billionaires while cutting SNAP nutrition assistance and Medicaid coverage for millions of Americans.

Congressman Schweikert also recently voted against extending cost-saving health care tax credits that lower premiums for Arizonans who purchase insurance coverage through the ACA Marketplace.

“Over the past year, Congressman Schweikert has sided with billionaires and large corporations; to the point that his very own constituents are making it very clear that he's failing them, ” said Andrea Moreno, Executive Director of Honest Arizona. “Congressman Schweikert, needs to prioritize Arizonans and stop doing the bidding of billionaires.”
