The Overwhelmingly Unpopular Bill Ciscomani & Schweikert Support Would Kick Millions off Health Insurance, Balloon The Debt

PHOENIX —  The Republican Tax Scam, which passed in the U.S. House last month with a deciding vote from Congressman Ciscomani and Congressman Schweikert's effusive support, would strip healthcare away from 16 million Americans and balloon the deficit. 

A new Kaiser Family Foundation poll finds that roughly two-thirds of Americans have an unfavorable opinion of the bill that cuts Medicaid coverage for millions of Americans to pay for  massive tax giveaways to the wealthy and corporations.

Recent analysis from the United States Joint Economic Committee found that more than 7 million Americans would lose their Medicaid coverage and over 8 million more would lose their Affordable Care Act health care coverage in the next decade under the Republican bill.

“Congressmen Schweikert and Ciscomani are completely ignoring the will of their own constituents by supporting the Republican Tax Scam that benefits the ultra-wealthy at the expense of the rest of us," said Andrea Moreno, Executive Director of Honest Arizona. "Stripping health care coverage and food from working families while saddling future generations with trillions in debt undermines Arizonans' present and future.”
