Schweikert & Ciscomani Back Job-Killing Economic Policies
TUCSON – Small businesses saw 120,000 job losses in November and industry leaders blame congressional Republicans like Juan Ciscomani and David Schweikert.
Tariffs and the Republican Tax Law that cut critical energy tax credits – both supported by Schweikert and Ciscomani – were blamed for increasing costs.
According to CNBC:
“Smaller businesses have less money and fewer resources than larger companies to contend with higher costs from tariffs, rising utility bills and other economic pressures.
The Main Street Alliance, which consists of 30,000 small-business owners, blamed President Donald Trump and his fellow Republicans for the difficult conditions.
‘Today’s ADP report showing a loss of 120,000 small business jobs in November highlights the lasting damage of Trump-era and Republican economic policies,’ Richard Trent, the group's executive director, told NBC News. ‘Trade wars, healthcare cuts, and tax breaks for big corporations have left Main Street businesses struggling to hire and grow.’”
“November’s staggering job losses are the direct result of policies that put billionaires and corporations first and leave Arizonans behind,” said Andrea Moreno, executive director of Honest Arizona. “Congressmen Schweikert and Ciscomani’s support for cost-raising tariffs and the Republican Tax Law are sabotaging the small businesses that keep our communities running.”
