NEW REPORT: Arizonans Pay Nearly Half A Billion More in Gas Prices in Less than Two Months

Schweikert & Ciscomani Voted to Support War That’s Driving Up Prices

TUCSON — A new congressional report finds that Arizonans paid nearly $500 million more at the pump since the start of the Iran War on February 28.

Congressmen Schweikert and Ciscomani voted to support the war last month.

Before the War began, gas prices were trending down and were expected to drop to around $3 a gallon in Arizona. Today, Arizonans are paying over $4.60 on average.

“Arizonans are being forced to pay more at the pump, much more, because Schweikert and Ciscomani are backing a war that is driving prices up,” said Andrea Moreno, Executive Director of Honest Arizona. “At a time when families are already stretched thin, their votes are putting the interests of war and the wealthy ahead of the everyday Arizonans who are footing the bill.”
