Gas Prices Reach Record Highs Due to Iran War Schweikert & Ciscomani Voted to Support

TUCSON — The Iran War, which both Congressmen Juan Ciscomani and David Schweikert voted to support, is sending gas prices to near-all-time highs.

As recently as January, Arizona gas prices were predicted to fall to around $3 per gallon. After President Trump launched the Iran War that is constricting supply, prices at the pump have soared. Today, the price of gas in Phoenix is $4.79 a gallon and the price in Tucson is $4.29

Congressmen Schweikert and Ciscomani voted in favor of the Iran War that is forcing their constituents to pay more at the pump with no end in sight, with prices expected to go up even further

Many predicted last year that a significant conflict with Iran “would disrupt the flow of a significant portion of global oil exports, causing major supply shortages and triggering sharp increases in oil prices.”

“Despite promising to focus on lowering prices, Congressmen Schweikert and Ciscomani consistently support policies that do the exact opposite and drive prices up for Arizonans,” said Andrea Moreno, executive director of Honest Arizona. “There have been ample times for them to do what’s right for their constituents. Their priority should be the Arizona families they serve.”
