As Supreme Court Weighs In, Schweikert & Ciscomani Must Drop Support for Tariffs

TUCSON — The U.S. Supreme Court today will start the process of deciding whether Trump's tariffs, supported by Congressmen David Schweikert and Juan Ciscomani despite the fact that they are raising prices across the board for Arizona families and small businesses, can be upheld.

As recently as September, Schweikert and Ciscomani voted to affirm his support for Trump's tariffs.

“Republican tariffs have been a drag on our business all year, and it's time to end this tax on Arizona families and small businesses," said Dwight Metzger, owner of the Gloo Factory in Tucson. "We urge Congressman Ciscomani to look out for small businesses like ours and work to put an end to the Trump tariffs.”

“Arizona families across the board are struggling with higher prices, but instead of working to help us, Congressmen Ciscomani and Schweikert are siding with President Trump," said Andrea Moreno, Executive Director of Honest Arizona. “It's time for Congressman Ciscomani to start lowering costs and oppose tariffs that are tanking the local and national economy.”
