New Honest Arizona Billboard Tells Ciscomani To Stop Cutting Health Care
TUCSON — A new Honest Arizona billboard calls out Congressman Ciscomani for voting to cut health care, in the midst of higher premiums for Arizonans and a Republican-controlled Congress shutting down the government to avoid making cost-saving health care tax credits permanent.
Ciscomani voted for the Republican Tax Law despite knowing that the law “threatens access to coverage” and “jeopardizes the stability of our hospitals and providers.” As a result, as many as five rural Arizona hospitals now face closure and patients at those hospitals will not be able to afford health care coverage. In addition, millions of Americans are facing higher health care premiums, because congressional Republicans including Rep. Ciscomani decided to shut down the government rather than lower health care costs and make the health care tax credits permanent before the start of open enrollment on November 1.
“Congressman Ciscomani’s vote for the Republican Tax Law rips health care from millions of Americans and right now they’ve shut down the government instead of lowering health care costs,” said Andrea Moreno, Executive Director of Honest Arizona. "Arizonans should call Congressman Ciscomani and tell him to stop cutting our health care!"
