NEW: Ciscomani Takes PAC Money From Corporations Benefiting From Republican Tax Law

TUCSON —A new report shows that Congressman Juan Ciscomani has taken at least $40,000 in PAC contributions from corporations that benefited from the Republican Tax Law.

The year-old law gave massive tax breaks to the wealthy and corporations while cutting health care and food access for millions of Americans. As a result, Arizona is now the epicenter of the food access crisis as nearly half a million residents, including 200,000 children, lost access to SNAP nutrition assistance.

Many of the law's biggest beneficiaries have donated large checks to Congressman Juan Ciscomani.

"Arizonans are suffering from cuts made by the Republican Tax Law, but Congressman Juan Ciscomani is benefiting from big donations because of his vote," said Andrea Moreno, Executive Director of Honest Arizona. "This report shows just whose side Ciscomani has chosen when he turned his back on his constituents to vote for the Republican Tax Law."

The report, compiled by Unrig the Economy, is available online here.
